Fat Burning Tips
If you’ve been doing cardio exercises to achieve weight loss but that weight loss
is starting to slow down, perhaps strength training could be the fat burning tips that is the key to keep that
weight loss going to achieve your weight loss goals.
My fat burning tip is do 20 minutes of strength training in addition to your normal cardio workout of say running,
walking, cycling, rowing etc. Now I’m not talking about overdoing it or anything, just aim for 10
repetitions with a 2 minute break in between with light weights to start with and work your way up slowly to avoid
any form of injury. This will help you to firm up, but not bulk up and increase our metabolism.

If you normally run, add some challenge to your runs with hills. Hills are
like strength training for runners. Just like on the running machines where you increase the incline, this
adds intensity and is a great way to rev up the fat burning. I suggest easing into hill running if you are
not used to it. Start by running a slightly hilly course – gentle rolling hills. Once you are used to
the gentle hill running, find yourself some more challenging hills that are a bit tougher.
If you do cardio exercise such as running, cycling, rowing, or what have
you. Rev it up with higher intensity intervals. This means going at a little under full speed for a
short interval, and then going slow for another short interval. Basically 20 seconds of intensive exercise,
then 10 seconds of rest and repeat those intervals 8 times. That’s a total of 4 minutes – a great workout in
a short amount of time. Just ease your way into it.
If you’re doing all of the above fat burning tips, you’re on a great track to
weight loss. If you want to rev it up you could include anything where you get active for at least 30
minutes. Playing sports, going on a hike, working around the yard, intensive house cleaning, swimming
etc. Just keep moving for 30 minutes in addition to your regular workouts. This fat burning tip of
extra activity will help you burn those extra calories.
Another fat burning tip is your eating habits. Rather than having to think
about what you are going to eat every day, how about choosing to eat the same thing for breakfast, lunch and
dinner, plus snacks. This takes away your choices and by taking away choices, it takes away temptation.
There certainly are some foods that I could eat every day and never get sick of it, for example spaghetti
bolognaise. I never get sick of it and it can be a very low calorie mixture. But of course you have to
make certain you are getting all the foods groups in the one meal when and if you make that choice.
