Healthy Weight Loss
The way to healthy weight loss is to follow a nutritionally sound
eating plan that incorporates the essential food groups to create an all round balanced diet.
Exercise
Exercise is an essential part of healthy weight loss. Want to know why I have put
this point first when most people put it last? Well I put it first because no matter how bad your diet is,
exercising every day is going to give you a kick start to burning those calories regardless of what you
eat.

I ate all of that?
Keep a diary of the food you eat and grab yourself a calorie counter. A daily
diary will keep you on track for that healthy fat loss so that you know exactly what you have eaten and how many
calories you have consumed. The average calorie intake to help you lose weight is 1200 calories per day. By
counting your calories you will see where you are going right and where you are going wrong.
Eyes bigger than your belly?
Portion control is also a very important aspect of weight control and
healthy weight loss. Use your calories counter to know just how much of each food you are supposed to eat, not
what you want to eat. Just last month I bought myself a cheap dinner set as mine was old and chipped and needed to
be replaced. The new plates were much bigger than the old ones plus, by chance, I actually won a dinner set at a
raffle and they were even bigger again. My trick is to eat my dinner from a bread and butter plate. All you need
for each meal will generally fit on that plate.
What’s the rush?
Eating slowly, from your bread and butter plate, is also a neat trick. It takes 20
minutes for your stomach to tell your brain it is full. Put the fork down a lot, chat to your family, just take
your time and you won’t eat so much Shovelling it down as quickly as possible because you are in a hurry is going
to make you eat more than you thought you would. Take your time.
Don’t do it alone
Lose weight with a friend is great healthy weight loss advice. Calorie counting
and exercising is always easier if you have the support of another person who has the same goal. Walking together
makes you stick to your exercise plan because another person is relying on you to put on those shoes and be ready
to go. If you are not sure if you have eaten the right thing, your friend may know the answer and vice
versa.
