Losing weight for some people is not that hard. Long term weight loss is the challenge for most people. Going on a strict low fat low calorie diet for a reasonably short time, in the scheme of things, can be achieved by the majority. Long term weight loss is sometimes the hard part. How about looking at it in a different way? How about perhaps choosing another form of exercise that you can look at in the long term as a daily enjoyable experience that you don’t have to do. You do it because you want to. If you have lost the weight you have probably been exercising for quite some time, but now realise that to achieve long term weight loss, this is a routine you will have to stick to in some form or another to keep the weight off. So give some thought to changing the type of exercise you are doing if you are not fond of your first choice.

Change of habits

Perhaps you have had one too many celery sticks and can’t look at another carrot if someone paid you. Well to maintain your long term weight loss you don’t have keep the calories down so low any more.

You should now be able to increase your calories and enjoy some of the foods you used to love eating. Just in moderation, that’s all.

Support

Now is not the time to give up your diet and exercise buddy that helped you along the way. If you feel that you are slipping into bad eating habits again, now is the time to check in with that buddy and get back on track.

The support given and received got you this far. So to achieve that long term weight loss is to keep that support system going for as long as it takes.
