Drink lots of water
The first speed weight loss tip is to drink lots of water. Drink at least 8 glasses
of water per day and if you do a lot of physical exercise, you may need more. Water increases your metabolism,
which of course burns more calories. Water also cleans waste from you system and assists in the digestion of food.

No more soda
Soda contains up to 10 teaspoons of sugar or artificial sweeteners that are of no
food value at all. They are also full of preservatives that help us gain weight. The better way is water and tea.
Green tea and black tea have no calories or preservatives. If you prefer sugar in your tea, keep it to a
minimum.
Eat 5 serves of vegetables per day
No only are vegetables essential for good health, they are very low in fat and
calories and very high in fibre, vitamins, minerals and nutrients. Your dinner plate should be at least half full
of vegetables and don’t forget to use whole grain rice, pasta or breads where possible.
Watch how you flavour your foods
Sodium (or salt) is one of the condiments we need to use less of. A lot of salt is
added to processed food, so it is unnecessary to add it at the table. Sugar of course is high in calories, so using
an alternative sweetener is a better alternative. Mustard is a much better option than mayonnaise and oil or
vinegar based dressings are much lower in calories than creamy salad dressings.
Snacks
Pastry, chocolate and candy snacks are of course very tasty. They are also very high
in fats and sugars. A better alternative is fruit, vegetables and nuts. Nuts are high in protein and keep you
feeling full for longer. It may be hard to avoid the aisles in the supermarket where these snacks are available,
but its better for your health and these snacks are fine in moderation once you have reached your goal weight. You
don’ have to give them up forever.
Phone a friend
Two heads are better than one. Finding a dieting buddy will help you to stay on
track. We all have days where we just can’t get out of bed and do that exercise. We all have days where that
chocolate bar is just too tempting. A dieting buddy is an ideal way for both of you to achieve your weight loss
goal.
One foot in front of the other
We are more and more living sit down lifestyles and about the only time some people
move is when they are doing a structured exercise. So make a choice of which exercise you feel you can do for at
least 30 minutes every day and get started. You can achieve speed weight loss if you incorporate more exercise into
your lifestyle.
If you follow the above tips you can achieve speed weight loss and achieve your
weight loss goal much faster. Energy in and energy out – be it food or exercise or both – will achieve your speed
